A set of written explanations on the AQF, that formalise responses provided to the many stakeholder requests for support in understanding the AQF over the past year, can be found below. They are intended to assist those using the AQF and do not change the AQF in any way or add any additional requirements.

Revised Specifications for the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma Qualification Types
Following the review of the AQF Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas, the AQF Council has amended the Specifications for the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma Qualification types.
The amendments are set out in the publication Addendum to AQF First Edition July 2011. Amended Qualification Types: Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma.
AQF Symposium and Launch
The AQF was successfully launched on Thursday June 23, 2011. In conjuction with the launch, the AQF Council hosted a Symposium attended by over 100 participants. Titled 'Australian Qualifications Framework: Making a difference', the Symposium program featured speakers from industry, government, professional associations, education and training providers and researchers.
